Enviroquip® Folded Plate Underdrains are also known as direct support filtration bottoms.  As shown below, patterned slits with 0.25mm openings in a stainless steel folded plate provides direct support for the sand and anthracite or GAC.  Typical applications seen with these underdrains include air scour capabilities.
